By accessing and using the League of Laid Off Legends ("L3") community, website, and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). These Terms include our Privacy Policy. If you are using L3 on behalf of an organization or other legal entity, "you" refers to both you and such entity, and you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms. If you do not agree with any of these Terms, please do not use any of L3’s resources.
We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time. If we do, we will post the modified Terms on this page and indicate the date of the most recent change above. Your continued use of L3 constitutes acceptance of these Terms and any modifications.
Use of Services
To use L3's community experience, you must register for an account. You agree that:
- All information provided during registration is accurate and truthful
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have verifiable experience in the technology industry
- You are solely responsible for all activity under your account
- You will maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
You may create an account via third-party services (e.g., LinkedIn, Google). In doing so, you agree to be bound by those third-party terms and conditions, as well as L3's Privacy Policy.
Member Content
Content from other members may be made available to you through L3. "Content" means any work of authorship or information, including but not limited to:
- Personal experiences and stories
- Career advice and insights
- Professional development resources
- Comments, opinions, and feedback
- Educational materials
- Media files (images, audio, video)
Because we do not control such Content, you understand and agree that:
1. We are not responsible for, and do not endorse, any such Content
2. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, currency, suitability, or quality of the information
3. We assume no responsibility for unintended, objectionable, inaccurate, misleading, or unlawful Content
4. Members share experiences at their own discretion and risk
Content Ownership and License
You retain ownership of all content you submit to L3. By submitting content, you grant L3 a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, fully-paid license to:
- Use, reproduce, and store your content
- Display and distribute your content
- Create derivative works
- Include your content in community resources
- Use your content for community improvement and promotion
This license includes the right for us to:
- Share content with other community members
- Use content in promotional materials
- Include content in community resources
- Adapt content for different formats and media
No compensation will be paid for content you post through L3.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree that you will not:
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your professional background
- Create accounts under false pretenses
- Share confidential or proprietary information from current/former employers
- Post defamatory, discriminatory, or fraudulent content
- Engage in harassment, threats, or abusive behavior
- Promote illegal activities or violate any laws
- Spam or send unsolicited promotional content
- Collect or harvest member information
- Attempt to manipulate or disrupt the community
- Share access to your account or community resources
- Use the community for competitive analysis or intelligence gathering
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Introduce malicious software or code
- Circumvent community security measures
Community Standards
Members must maintain professional standards including:
- Treating all members with respect
- Maintaining confidentiality of shared experiences
- Supporting the community's positive atmosphere
- Participating in good faith
- Following moderator guidance
- Reporting violations or concerns
- Adhering to our code of conduct
Enforcement and Termination
L3 reserves the right to:
- Deny membership to any individual
- Remove any content that violates these Terms
- Suspend or terminate accounts without notice
- Ban members who repeatedly violate Terms
- Take legal action if necessary
- Cooperate with law enforcement when required
- Modify or restrict access to community features
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
- L3 provides the community "as is" without warranties
- We are not responsible for member interactions
- We do not guarantee accuracy of shared information
- Members use the community at their own risk
- We are not liable for any damages or losses
- Members are responsible for their own actions
Privacy and Data Protection
- Members agree to our privacy policy
- Personal information is protected
- Data sharing requires explicit consent
- Members must respect others' privacy
- We implement reasonable security measures
Dispute Resolution
All disputes arising from these Terms or L3 shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
Members waive rights to:
- Class action participation
- Jury trials
- Public court proceedings
